“Very professional polite Gentleman barbers, second to none. Every time we have walked out we feel very refreshed and extremely pleased with our haircuts.”
The shop
Same crossroads, same trade, eleven years running.
Regulars, and their sons
Morfose has been cutting hair at Bat & Ball long enough that most of the chairs are filled by men who have been coming for years, and by the boys they first brought in at six years old. Nobody is rushed out of the chair.
Traditional craft, done properly
Clippers, scissors and a cut-throat blade. Turkish hot towel shaves, beard work, and the small courtesies most places have stopped offering: the eyebrows tidied, your glasses handed back so you can see the cut before you stand up.
Everyone welcome, seven days
Gentlemen, pensioners and children under ten each have their own price. Children are genuinely welcome here rather than tolerated. Open every day of the week, with an early start on Saturdays for anyone who wants to be first in.
